Our Story

A family sitting together at a low table playing with wooden toys and blocks

We Make Toys That Get Played With

Arvo Studio is a small studio. We sketch, print, break and rebuild every piece until it becomes something a child actually reaches for — and keeps reaching for.

Plix is where that work lives. Widgy is our range of wooden animals and shape play. Clikitz is the press, turn and click family. Glow lights the room once everything goes back in the box.

Nothing leaves the bench until it has been prototyped, handled, and dropped a few more times than seems reasonable.

How A Toy Gets Made

  1. Sketch It

Every piece starts as a drawing on the bench. Shapes first, colours later, always sized to a small hand.

  2. Print It

The first one gets made here, usually the same week. Holding a thing tells you more than looking at it.

  3. Break It

Then we hand it over and let kids do their worst. Whatever survives the afternoon is worth keeping.

  4. Build It Again

Back to the bench with everything that broke. Most pieces go round this loop more than once.
